About Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum is a blockchain that can run programs called smart contracts, which lets developers build apps, tokens and markets on top of it. It was proposed by Vitalik Buterin in 2013 and launched in July 2015. Its coin, ether (ETH), pays for transactions and is used to secure the network, which moved from proof of work to proof of stake in September 2022.
